Traditionally, we are now in the busiest time of year for the housing market. However, this year has all the hallmarks of achieving above all expectations.
The reasons for this are due to a number of factors. Which include concerns over a possible cliff-edge scenario for the housing market at the end of March now removed a surge in buyer demand, caused by the easing of the current lockdown and new government guarantees enabling lenders to bring back 5% deposit mortgages.
At Peter Lane & Partners, although the new year started slowly for us, February was an extremely busy month with sales up by a third compared to the same time last year. At this point we anticipate March to exceed all expectations as halfway through the month we have already passed sales figures for the same month last year.
With demand for properties at an all-time high, and in most cases asking prices being achieved, we at Peter Lane & Partners would strongly recommend that now is the ideal time to market your property if you are looking to ”make that move”.
With over 30 years of selling houses in your area, our staff are ready to arrange and provide a free no-obligation market appraisal of your property.
